Bandana Dress

I found this idea on Pinterest and was skeptical. The directions said that you could make two of these dresses in 30 minutes. My first took about 30-40 minutes, but I'm guessing my next will go much faster!
Materials:
2 bandanas
ribbon (I used two 36" pieces)
thread
sewing machine
safety pin

First, I made a "quick" trip to Hobby Lobby for bandanas, ribbon and thread, but left with that plus some!
My bandanas were extremely wrinkly so I ironed mine first before starting. After they wrinkles were out, I folded the top down 1" and ironed. This is for the ribbon to go through.
Once I ironed both bandanas, I sewed the top (make sure you have the right side facing DOWN) channel for the ribbon.

Next I laid both bandanas with right sides together. I measured 6" down from the top and began pinning on the sides. This creates the arm hole. Once it's pinned, sew away!
Now you should have the bandanas sewn together with channels for the ribbon pieces at the top.
Take your ribbon and feed it through. I didn't have a safety pin to attach to the end, so I used tape on the end and that worked well to feed it through.
Once your done with this step all you need to do is tie the bows and you're all done!
I made this dress for a friend's daughter and ended up making a second! As suspected, the second only took me about 20 minutes. Here's some pictures of her wearing the dress for pictures with her baby brother!
